The supportive footbed is the part that matters: it gives stability when you are finning, and it is what stops the boot folding under you on a ladder with a cylinder on your back. The outsole gives reliable traction at minimal weight, and the ergonomic insole keeps it comfortable across the range of things a boot gets used for.

Well suited to casual shore diving. If you dive regularly over slippery rock, look at the Amphibian instead — it is the heavier, more protective boot.
